About the project

SharesInside is a Swiss FinTech that offers the investors a direct channel of communication with listed companies. Although the first version of the platform was created much earlier, we were asked to transform it to meet the needs and expectations of its users.

The challenge

The difficulty lied in the development of the product. The first version was already familiar to the users; therefore, we needed to take advantage of its strengths and best practices without reproducing the flaws. Transferring the content and data to an entirely new version was also challenging, as well as creating a dedicated CMS, which is available for all users. Because of that, it couldn’t be based on ready-made solutions, but designed from scratch to remain coherent with the whole platform.

The process

At the very beginning, we conducted an in-depth analysis of the existing version and discussed the look and features of the improved platform thoroughly with the client. Then, we prepared process flow diagrams, detailed mockups, and a graphic design accordingly.

The solution

Thanks to proper planning and careful analysis, we used best practices from the first version of the product and added more modern and user-friendly elements to it. The whole platform remains visually consistent but also draws from the specific systems (iOS/Android) and technologies. What’s more, the schedule was constructed in such a way to enable the efficient transfer of data from version 1.0 to 2.0.

The result

Functional, well-designed, safe, and fast working platform, which replaced the first version. Although many features remained unchanged, the look and user experience were taken to the next level.

We have an ongoing project and weren’t happy with the software partner that we were involved with initially, so we made a very bold decision to take a significant risk and change our software team to KISS digital. To our delight, everything went smoothly. They work quickly and with very high standards, they are a reliable team and always think ahead.
